Below the Sightlines

(2010)
 Above becomes below the sightlines

Crushed by the weight of the critical eye

My voice has been stolen

Yet my silence angers you

To the core of where you stand

For I am below the sightlines

Shake off the misery

As you hold it down upon me

I try but I am engulfed in the madness

Trust has left me alone with doubt

It may not be your fault

But it is you who is the reason

Standing alone I cover my virtues

And banish the reason

That used to keep me alive

Without it I can’t be harmed

For they choose to see me transparent

When I am not connected to your hand

Now I have lost my ally

And now I’m nothing but the drifting wind
